Lodi Gardens
Lodi Garden is a park situated in New Delhi. It is beautiful and serene and is very nice for morning walks. It is over 90 acres huge and contains Mohammed Shah’s Tomb and Sikander Lodi’s Tomb. Some of the tombs are visible even to the passerby’s from the road. During the British dynasty, the gardens were landscaped by Lady Willingdon, wife of the then Governor-General, hence it was inaugurated and named as Lady Wellingdon Park in 1936. But after Independence it was renamed as Lodi Gardens.
